Welcome to Bitter Ink! I’m not sure how you found us, but now that you’re here, hopefully you’ll get a few laughs. Bitter Ink was created way back in 1999 for the Society of Technical Communicators newsletter (Alberta chapter) as a favor for a friend of mine. I created strips off and on for about 4 years before I ran out of ideas...or just got lazy...I can’t remember which.

Having been recently asked to start creating them again, I thought I’d take it a little more seriously this time around and get a website going since - shockingly - I don’t think everyone in the world gets the STC newsletter!

Just to give you a little background, Bitter Ink is about a disillusioned technical writer (Rand) working for a crappy little software company (Smeg Software). I have NO idea where I got my ideas from – really. Ahem. I feel sorry for Rand sometimes, but if his life was perfect, it wouldn’t be very funny, would it? :-)

Yes...the target audience is technical writers. So, your particular mileage may vary. Enjoy!
